Mayo Sports and Fitness Weekend with Sonia O'Sullivan -
Promoting Sporting Spirit in Mayo while raising vital funds for Western Care Association.

Fitness professionals from all over Mayo are gathering for a weekend of Fitness, Sport and Advice in all disciplines in Breaffy Sports Arena this April 24th, 25th and 26th. The weekend will kick off with a Zumbathon from 7-10pm on Friday 24th. Saturday and Sunday will provide back to back fitness classes, talks and demonstrated by instructors from a wide range of sports - Breaffy Leisure club, Get a Grip Yoga, Boxercise West, Studio Style Fitness, iWanna Run, Ballinrobe Physiotherapy, Bokwa, Krav Maga, White Tiger Marshall arts, Castle Leisure Club and more. Breaffy Leisure Centre will be on site for the weekend and tours of the gym will be available.

Special guest speaker Sonia Sullivan will provide a workshop on Saturday 25th at 12 noon on all things running - tips, advice, where she has come from and is, support and guidance! This workshop is for all runners, sports enthusiasts and people who want to hear Sonia speaking. Sonia will also be running at the Park Run in Lough Lannagh, Castlebar at 9:30am that morning to get everybody started!!

Ray Moylette will also give a Boxing technique class Saturday at 4pm and is available for questions and answers afterwards.

Breaffy Leisure Centre are our partners on this event and are providing classes throughout the whole weekend. There will be foam rolling, spinning, tours of the gym, and classes for all levels of fitness including classes for older people on Saturday morning.

There will be a wide variety of stalls such as physios, nutritionists, running, clothes sellers and more! The weekend will have food demos and expert talks. Talks include juicing benefits, natural choice body type plan (weight management/health plan), IWanna Run specialists on yoga for your toes and specialist in Chiropractic, Dr Lorraine Surdival. There will also be products such as Juice Plus - 26 different fruit, veg & berries in a capsule. There is still room for stall holders to take a space.

Anyone in the fitness business who would like to be a part of this weekend as a stall holder should contact Lorraine at zumbacastlebar@gmail.com as soon as possible to secure your place on the programme. Stall costs just €50 for the full weekend from 6pm Friday April 24th to 6pm Sunday 26th. Stalls, weekend passes costing €40 or day passes costing €20 per day can be purchased online on www.iregister.ie/mayosports or at the event reception over the weekend.
