Mayo in Motion Walking & Cycling June 2015

Mayo Walking and Trails Partnership together with Mayo Sports Partnership has been hugely involved in the promotion and development of walking and cycling trails throughout Mayo. Membership of the Partnership includes representatives from Mayo County Council, South West Development Company, Mayo North East Leader Partnership Teo, Failte Ireland, Mayo Sports Partnership, Community Forum & Other Stakeholders. The attached spreadsheets aim to provide you with information about participation opportunities for all types of walking / cycling in the county. These spreadsheets are not an exhaustive list of all that is going on in June but is just those which we are aware of at this moment and time.

A full listing of events, workshops and general information can be found in each of the three local papers: Western People, Connaught Telegraph and Mayo News.

As an addition to this years programme Mayo Sports Partnership in association with Get Ireland Walking are rolling out the Active Community Walking Programme in six communities. This programme aims to support the creation of vibrant walking communities throughout Mayo .If you are interested in participating in this initiative please check the attached list of groups who have been selected for this programme.
