Submit your Stories |
We are always looking for new short stories and humourous items. Short stories should preferably be in the range 1200 to 1500 words in length, but stories up to 3000 words may be accepted. Material must be submitted in electronic form only. Simple e-mail your story as a Word, or plain text file to storytime@castlebar.ie. If accepted for publication, you will be notified and the story will be uploaded to this site as soon as possible. Submitting material to storytime@castlebar.ie implies your permission to publish the story on www.castlebar.ie. Stories may be published anonymously if you want to hide your light - you are welcome to use a pen name. Unfortunately, at this point, we can't pay you for your submission. The Castlebar site now has over 1,000,000 hits per month, however, so submitting your story here will guarantee a wide international readership - a readership that you may not get in your local literary magazines, for example. As the material builds up to a substantial body of work we hope that the readership will also increase over time. |
