A group of 12 ladies from Castlebar ICA Guild have recently returned from a
most enjoyable trip to Brussels, which included a trip to the European
Parliament as guests of Dana Rosemary Scallon MEP. Dana, together with her
Swedish and English counterparts, gave a very informative talk on the structure
of the Parliament and the forthcoming changes to the Constitution. It was a most
enjoyable evening which was rounded off by a banquet hosted by Dana. The ladies
also took a trip to Bruges, which is famous for its lace and chocolates and
amazing ancient 15th century churches. Picture shows 12 ICA members
in Brussels. A wonderful time was had by all.
On behalf of Castlebar ICA Guild, Mrs Teresa Melvin, Castlebar ICA President,
made a presentation of a Waterford Crystal candle holder to Dana Rosemary
Scallon MEP. As Ireland is now a member of the European Parliament for the past
30 years we were honoured to be in Brussels as guests of Dana.
Dana Rosemary Scallon, MEP, thanks Mrs Teresa Melvin, Castlebar ICA
President, for the gift.

A gift for Dana
