Enviro Fest in the West
Mayo E-Live, the Castlebar based environmental group, are to hold a week- long environment awareness week entitled “Enviro Fest in the West” from April 13th to April 21st. The highlight of the weeks activities will be an Environment Awareness Day on Saturday April 20th at the G.M.I.T. Castlebar Campus, Westport Road, Castlebar.
The Environment Awareness Day will consist of a series of talks by keynote speakers and there will be a variety of display stands with presentations from An Taisce; The Irish Seed Savers; The Organic Center, Rossinver, Co. Leitrim; Mayo County Councils Environmental Awareness Section; Heneghans Healthfood Shop, Castlebar; The Irish Peatland Conservation Council; I.O.F.G.A and a number of others, yet to be confirmed.
During the week there will be a series of fringe activities including Guided Tours, Nature Walks, Poetry Reading, Art Exhibitions, Childrens Activities and Music.
Registration Fee for the Environment Awareness Day will be a modest Euro 5 for Adults and Euro 3 for students. The Registration Fee will include admission to all lectures and light refreshments throughout the day. The Conference will run from 10a.m to 5p.m with registration from 9.30a.m.
