| "Isabela's work shows her ability to turn mundane objects into expressive art that is imaginative in the realm of deeper truths. Both her paintings and assemblages evoke a sense of mystery, immortality and religious iconography which is ever present in her work. Issues dealing with grief, death, life, birth and re-birth are strongly presented and blurred together. Her art represents various emotional states which make the actual objects used merely representational.
