Baxter established its Ireland Manufacturing Operation in 1972 and today employs 900 people at two state of the art manufacturing plants at Castlebar and Swinford, Co. Mayo. The Castlebar plant produces a range of medical solutions for continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD) and for drug administration purposes. The Swinford plant produces a range of medical devices including catheters, infusors and renal accessories. The products are exported to global markets including Europe, US and Japan.
