Under 10 & Under 12 Hurling Training
What a wonderful turn out we continue to have on Wednesday evenings for the first U-10 and U-12 training session. It's great to see 130 young people out there with their hurleys and helmets ready for action. There will be another opportunity to register this Wednesday for those who haven't yet registered. Well done to all the coaches and helpers for their great work. Training continues this Wednesday from 6 - 7pm. If you are interested in helping out in any capacity with either team please contact any of the managers.
U-14 Training
U-14 Training continues under Daren Greaney, Steve McKeogh, and Daithi Hughes on Monday & Wednesday evenings @ 5pm and on Saturday @ 12 noon.
U-16 Training
U-16 Training under the management of Donal Horan and Mark Deeley has got under way on Monday & Wednesday evenings @ 6pm on the back pitch of McHale Park. New players are welcome to come along.
Genfit Cup Senior Hurling
On Saturday evening next at 7pm Castlebar Mitchels Senior Team take on Belmullet in the 3rd round of the Genfit Cup. Last weekend the Mitchels went down to Tooreen on a 5-11 to 0-6 scoreline. While the scoreline wasn't a true reflection of the game, the Mitchels still have a lot of work to do if they are to beat the county champions. Still, hope springs eternal. Sympathy
The Castlebar Mitchels hurling club would like to extend sympathy to Carmel Connaughton, Ballinvilla, on the death of her mother, Teresa Treacy, and to Mick Connolly Breaffy on the death of his sister in law Caitlin Connolly. May their souls rest in peace.
