This summer saw similar success. The following events took place over the last few months:
17th March, 2000 - Marching Band: St. Patrick's Day Parade
14th June, 2000 - Orchestra: Concert for Schools in the Travellers Friend Hotel, Castlebar.
28th June, 2000 - Marching Band: Parade for the Castlebar 4 Days Walks Festival.
30th June, 2000 - Orchestra: Mall, Castlebar - Recital
10th July, 2000 - Marching Band: Ballina Street Festival
6th August, 2000 - Orchestra: Siamsa Sraide.
The Band also took part in the Limerick Band Festival
Practice resumes on
Wednesday, 13th Sept. at 8.00 p.m.
All members are requested to
attend.
There is a new programme with a great sellection of music
from classical to modern with such numbers as: Swedish Rhapsody, Waltz of
the Flowers, March Militaire, Emperor Waltz, Pomp and Circumstance, Star
Wars, Rock Around the Clock, I Dreamed a Dream, Old Comrades, Mambo No. 5,
a sellection from the King and I, Orange Blossom Special and Beethoven
Sym. No 5.
