The original Jeanie Johnston Built in Quebec in 1847 and bought by Tralee merchants John Donovan & Sons.Between 1848 and 1855 the Jeanie Johnston made up 16 voyages to North America and carried over 2,500 Irish emigrants to the promise of a new life across the Atlantic.
