Confirmation Day - 10th April 2003

Congratulations to our students from 5th and 6th classes
who celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation in Islandeady Church.

The Sacrament was celebrated in beautiful sunshine at 3p.m.
Archbishop Michael Neary celebrated the event with children from
Cogaula, Cloggernagh and Leitir.

The following children from Leitir were confirmed:

Fr. Donlon and Fr. Carney concelebrated the ceremony.
After the ceremony, refreshments were served in the newly refurbished Community Centre.
The children from Leitir had been prepared for the ceremony by their teacher Ms. Jean Broderick.

The 4th class from our school joined the 3rd and 4th classes from the other schools to form the choir.
