Here are some of the stories,poems and reports we have written recently.

 

Television News Report

Good evening, this is Conor Moylette reporting for the six one news.
The main news this evening - a large fire broke out and burnt out five houses in
Limrick City. Robbers broke into one house and set a bomb off and it exploded causing all
the houses in the line to catch fire as well. The eight house away from the explosion
rang the Gardaí and fire brigade, it took them five hours to put the fire out. The Gardaí
arrested one suspect and have now taken him to the local gardaí station for questioning.
The Gardaí say that he will be recieving a four year jail sentance, they say his case will
be held in the high court in Dublin.
A bar in Co. Galway called Jackie's was inspected today and a person called John Jay was
caught smoking in the toilet and he refuses to pay the fine. They say will have to pay the
fine or face a time in jail.
David Beckham got married to Julia Roberts today. Their wedding took place in
England. We all wish them a happy life.

The Snake

This Creature is a reptile with a scaly body.A long wiggly body and shape fangs.
Inside it's vessels it has cold blood. You will not like it hissing.
It has two sharp teeth called fangs. They live in the rain forests and jungles.
St.Patrick forced all of them out of Ireland.
The are all different kinds of colours, such as green, black and brown.
Some people keep them as pets, and some live out in the wild.
Some have rattles on them or have two heads on them. They come in different
sizes - big and small.
Do you know what kind of animal I am telling you about?
It's a Snake!


Descriptive Writing - Ice-cream

When the sun is shining high in the sky,
I go to the beech in Mulranny I get a 99 ice-cream.
I put a flake and sprinkles on the ice-cream.
It tastes lovely and cold for a hot day.
It's creamy and soft.
Sometimes i get brainfreeze from eating it too fast.
I love holding it when it gets messy,
then I have to lick it up fast.
It is a bright white colour when i put sprinkles on it.
The colours remind me of the rainbow.
After i eat the ice-cream, I put my flake in the cone and eat it.

 

A Report on Charlotte's Web

The crickets sang a song in the grasses.They sang the song of summer. Wilbur's
a pig any man would be proud of.
He did everything possible to make timeself glow.
Charlotte had worries of her own but she kept quiet about them,
" what kind of worries" asked wilbur.
"I worry about egg laying, i feel its time for me to make an egg sac" said Charlotte.

 

 

My Locality

I live in Derrincloura. My granny lives over the road from my house and there is a well there too.
When I wake up in the morning I hear the tweet of the birds and the zooming of the cars
when they are been driven past my house. There are five houses in Derrincloura.
The people that live in the first houses are Joyces and they next house is where I live.
The house after mine is where my granny lives. That is all my information on my village.
