Artists at work

We are very lucky to have the Linenhall Art Centre so close to the school. When we visit the Linenhall we get to look at the artists’ work in the gallery. We love it when we get to go to the workshop after and create our own Masterpieces!!!!!

We visited an exhibition recently by the artist John Mc Hugh. In the gallery we looked at sculptures he had created from objects found on the beaches of Achill. In the workshop we got to make our own sculptures made from every day recycled items. We had so much fun.

We went to the exhibition "Learning to Fly" by Fabrizio Simeoni in October.
We looked at pictures painted by the artist in the gallery.
Then we went to the workshop, where we painted to music.

In November we went to an exhibition and workshop on animation.
We made our own flip books.
