Bohmian

The Bohemian Waxwing is the largest of the three species and is the only Waxwing found in both Europe and America waxwing, in Great Britain it is known simply as the Waxwing. Waxwings are a grey-yellow bird with rigid crests, silky textured feathers, and long, pointed wings; the secondary wing feathers are tipped with red scales resembling wax. It nests late in the summer, feeding its young on berries and insects. It has no regular migration route, but wanders widely after breeding.

Medium-sized songbird.

Grey overall.

Mask on top of head.

Red tip to tail and yellow feather edging in wings.

Small bill.

Has red wax droplets on tips of secondary wings.
