November was a bumper month for the Castlebar dot IE domain! We had 192,000 hits (excluding those from our search engine). This is up significantly on the October total of approx 120,000.
While we can see a few blips in early November due to the publicity on the Gerry Ryan Show and national newspapers (perhaps 30,000 extra over a few days), we are still on a steady growth path of 10% per month. Remember that in March 1999 we made a big deal when we reached a cumulative total of 50,000 hits since starting up www.castlebar.ie in May 1997! Six months on we now have three times that each month! We have used the same system for counting hits since the beginning so that we are comparing like with like.
Again - thanks to all our regulars for your continued support. The bulletin board is very important in the overall scheme of things - it really gives visitors something to entertain, annoy, fascinate and amuse them. Tell your friends! It would be nice to make 200,000 hits per month by the year 2000.
