I'm not saying people drink drive because it is cheaper. But they go out to town with their car 'cause it's convenient. Leave the car in town, then can't get a taxi and then think that they're not that drunk so they'll drive. If soft drinks were cheaper more people would drink them on occasions and this could reduce the number of drink drivers. And with more sober people in pubs, then there are more people to stop drunks from driving.
