Your attitude to work done in the home is disgusting. What kind of family did you grow up in?
Anyone who has ever taken on the responsibility of raising children will tell you that it's no picnic. I would think very strongly before I would swap my job for a job raising children. I haven't had to make that choice yet, but I guess I will have to sometime.
Again I say the issue is what do we value as a society. Do we live to work or work to live? Why should both parents in a family be forced to work and sacrifice their time with their children. I have no problem with people who choose to work. They choose to sacrifice time with their children in order to give them a better standard of living economically. I do have a problem when the government starts to introduce tax systems that are anti-family, anti-society and probably unconstitutional.
I agree with you about the min. wage and 'luxuriousness' VAT. Unfortunately I don't see much in the budget addressing those issues.
The most significant thing that has come out of this budget is the negative effect it is having on the partnership agreements. Remember, it was the partnership agreements that got us where we are today.
