Maybe when people have more protestion they take more risks. I heard some safety expert claim one time that the safest car that could be built would be made entirely of glass and would have a six-inch steel spike sticking out of the steering wheel. His idea being that it would encourage people to drive more carefully. Maybe its the same with motorbikes and with military combat ?
