Do you mean memory or hard disk space?
Memory is allocated to applications while they are being used and is released when they are finished. So you always have the same amount of memory available. The size of the program and the numbers of programs you have running at the same time affect how much memory is being used.
If you want to see how much memory is being used open the Task Manager and it tells you at the bottom of the window. To open the task manager, press the right mouse button over the grey bar at the bottom of the screen and select task manager.
If you want ot find out how much disk space you have left, open My Computer (double click the icon), select C: and it should give you space remaining at the bottom of the window.
