Are you saying this only happened once? I remember many occurrences. By the way, I'm not commenting on the rightness or wrongness of the situations.
Also never assume you have anonymity when you post to a BB. Most people who post anything of significance have already unwittingly identified themselves in their writings.
Plus the IP address of anyone who posted to the old BB is visible to view and traceable. Of course you can achieve some anonymity by routing through an anonymous server but I'll still find you :).
