Back in July, as we approached the 50,000th post on the Castlebar Bulletin Board, we offered a little prize to the person who posted message number 50,000 on the board.

The winner donated his prize to Celia Anderson as a 'coming home' present. Celia was in the process of moving to Castlebar at the time and had shared her job seeking frustations with readers of both Castlebar.News and the Bulletin Board. Celia is now back in Castlebar and this week she picked up an 'exclusive' www.castlebar.ie T-Shirt. The photographs show Maria Quinn (left) presenting the T-Shirt to Celia. Celia has also contributed a number of excellent articles to Castlebar.News which you can still read here on Castlebar.News.
Maria Quinn is the Executive Director of Castlebar Chamber of Commerce and these photos were taken outside the Chamber of Commerce public access centre where free Internet access is provided for Castlebar people and visitors to the town. The Castlebar CAIT programme also takes place here. This CAIT programme emphasises computer skills for those who may not have had the opportunity to become computer literate in the normal course of events. This training programme uses computer-based learning software and has proved highly successful as it allows people to progress at their own pace without pressure.
