Mayo's new cricket team defeated Merrion Seventh X1 by four wickets winning the Leinster Minor Cup. Pat Larkin, Mayo Captain, led his team to victory at the Phoenix Park Last Saturday, 21 August 1999.
		The team is sponsored by Daly's Hotel and Stauntons Sport Shops.
		The team was formed just one year ago. So not bad at all for starters! Cricket has become a regular feature on the Mall in Castlebar over the last year as a result.
