Special Olympics 2003

 

The ‘Flame of Hope’ torch will arrive at the Mall, Castlebar on Monday 16th June at 11.15a.m.

We wish all Irish participants especially Ciara Joyce, Noel Lydon, Michéal Joyce, Martin Walsh and Gary Durkan from Castlebar every success in the games.

Olá Venezuela! We welcome all participants from Venezuela, their families, friends and supporters to the Special Olympics World Summer Games 2003.

We would like everybody to share the feeling for this spectacular event.

A Special Olympics Mass will be held in the Parish Church on Wednesday at 5.30p.m.

 

 

The Corpus Christi Procession  will take place after the 12.30p.m. Mass on Sunday 22nd June.  The route this year will be Chapel Street, Rathbawn Road, Church View Villas, St. Bridget’s Crescent, Pound Road, Garryduff ending with Benediction at Foxfield.

 

 

Altar Servers 2003/2004  

The commissioning ceremony for new altar servers will take place next Sunday at the 10a.m. Mass in the Parish Church.  We invite parents and families to this ceremony.

 

 

Devotions at 7p.m. today Sunday in the Parish Church.

 

 

 

A charity cycle is being held in Castlebar on 29th June to raise funds to bring children with special needs to Lourdes.  Volunteers are needed to cycle.  Tel. Aiden at 094-26484 or 087-7718165 for more information.

 

 

 

Castlebar Pantomime A.G.M. on Wed. 18th June at 8.30p.m. in the Travellers Friend Hotel.  All are welcome.
