It is a living, dynamic and vibrant image. To agree with those who say that the Church is irrelevant is to deny our very selves. If the Church is not responding to the needs of the world then it is because we as its members are not responding. St. Theresa put it like this: Christ has no body now but yours, no hands, no feet on earth but yours, Yours are the eyes through which He looks with compassion on the world, Yours are the feet with which He walks to do good, Yours are the hands with which He blesses all the world.
