“As the time drew near for him to be taken up to heaven, Jesus resolutely took the road for Jerusalem”.   This would lead to his passion, death and resurrection.  It would cost him his life.  He makes it clear that following him will have its costs too.  “If anyone wishes to be a follower of mine, he must take up his cross and follow me”.

The Christian life today in a secular world is demanding.  To be prayerful, to worship God at Mass, to be honest in our dealings with others, to be faithful and loving in marriage, to respect parents, family and property - all these and more, require a commitment and continuous effort in our lives.  Living like this is very worthwhile, and brings peace of mind and joy of heart.  We can live like this with the help of the Lord.

Psalm 15

Preserve me, God, I take refuge in you.

I say to the Lord:  ‘You are my God.’

O Lord, it is you who are my portion and cup;

It is you yourself who are my prize.

BOOKED MASSES 2002

(1ST JAN. 2002 TO  31ST DECEMBER 2002)

The book for 2002 Masses will be opened from Monday 2nd July.  We are asking you once again to include all the deceased members of family in ONE announced Mass each year.   Every Mass is offered for all people living and dead.  So what is important is that you join personally in offering Mass for your own deceased on the particular dates you wish to remember them.  Mass for the deceased is not confined to the day of the announced Mass.
