It gets no better than this.  The news is good,  maybe even too good to keep, it has to be proclaimed.  This morning from coast to coast we rejoice and are glad for now we know the love of God has no end.

Resurrection day stands apart and celebrates the profound and magnificent care of God for us and for our world.  It is a day to rise above our pettiness and fears, to embrace the truth of God among us.

Seeing is believing and all around there is much to see that nurtures and nourishes our faith and much good news to tell.

EASTER GREETINGS

The Priests of the Parish wish you a very happy Easter.  Welcome home to all who have returned to Castlebar, to spend this holiday with family and friends, and together we pray that Jesus’ gift of peace on the first Easter Sunday will become a reality in our own country and in war-torn countries throughout the world.

No Devotions in the Parish Church today.

St. Thérèse

As you may know the relics of St. Thérèse are arriving at Rosslare this Easter Sunday.  Quite a programme has been arranged over the next number of weeks.  On June 8th the relics are coming to Knock.  We ourselves have a lovely picture of the saint in the Presbytery.  During those days in June we will have the picture in the Parish Church, and there will also be a Novena to honour the event.  St. Thérèse has a wonderful message for people.  Her simplicity in faith and prayer, her experience of suffering illness and unbelief really speak to the people of our day.
