Indulgences - from 12
noon on Nov. 1st until midnight on Nov. 2nd , all who
have confessed, received Holy Communion and prayed for the Pope’s intentions
(one Our Father and Hail Mary), can gain one plenary indulgence by visiting a
Church, praying for the dead and reciting one Our Father and the Apostle’s
Creed. By visiting a Cemetery and
praying for the dead you may gain a plenary indulgence for the holy souls
once per day from Nov. 1st to Nov. 8th.
Devotions in the Parish Church today Sunday at
5p.m.
The Offertory Collection at all Masses this weekend will go
towards the Trócaire collection for Afghanistan.

Children of separated
parents - implications for schools
The consequences
of separation/marital breakdown poses numerous challenges to schools. This presentation will look at the impact of separation on children, enhancing awareness of the needs of
children coping with separation, exploring practical strategies for school
and the work of the family life after separation project. Date: Wed. Nov. 21st at

On The Shoulders of Giants (Fathers as Heroes)
This seminar is a
welcome opportunity for fathers to explore their role in rearing their
children. It will cover such matters
as: the importance of the father’s
role in their child’s development,
the father’s impact on the future security of their sons and
daughters, ways of entering the world
of your child and getting to know them better. Date: Sat. Nov. 24th,

Church Centenary Book ‘Through
Fagan’s Gates’ by Tom Higgins, now on sale in bookshops
and the Presbytery.
Holy Souls - There will be Mass each weekday evening during Nov. at 7.30p.m. in the
Parish Church. Mass will include
Novena prayers on Mon. nights. The
evening Masses will be offered for the dead mentioned in November lists,
which should be left in the box provided in the sanctuary. No money please.
First Friday - next Friday the priests will call to the
sick at the usual times. On Friday
evening there will be Masses in all Churches at 7.30p.m.
The collection on 1st Nov. will be for students
for the priesthood.
