In the wilder parts Mountain Ash or Rowan Trees are in full berry in early to mid October.

The hawthorn that produced scented white flowers back in May now has a good crop of bright red berries.

Rowan trees survive in some tough locations looking as if they grow out of the rock.

Few leaves left on the more exposed hawthorn trees.

In the hedgerows surprising to find leaves on the honeysuckle still with a small number of bright red berries.
