Pancake Tuesday is on its way....what are your memories. I remember it well, nagging and nagging my mother days before the big event, just in case she might forget. The big cream coloured bowl into which the mix was poured and seemed to be eternally mixed. Then it was left to settle, a bit like a good pint, but only longer. Eventhough my cooking abilities are practically zero, I always paid great attention when pancakes were being prepared. When they were presented on the table, hot and gorgeous and just melt in your mouth... a taste never to be forgotten. Afterwards, I would slip next door to my granny's house and indulge once more. Definitely one of the many tasteful memories of the past.
