I remember Johnny Waters the tailor from McHale Rd very well. While I do not recall his son Vince,I went to school with Eamon Waters who must be your uncle, Janette. I haven't heard a mention of Eamon in well over 40 years. If he is still alive I hope he is enjoying good health and that he has good memories of Castlebar in the 1950s.
I might also add, Janette, that your grandfather was a very well know card player and he is fondly remembered in Castlebar for his prowess at the card table in The Catholic Club (what a name !!) in the old Town Hall.
