Just some memories that have come to me......
Passing the derelict buildings in Castle Street, I thought of Ted Norrison - a proper 'gent' whom for years after he retired from the clock making business,could be found sitting on one of the benches across from the Imperial Hotel and who loved to have a chat with the locals.
Also the image of Tossie Kelly dashing up the middle of the Mall with a spring in his step,smiling and issuing greetings to all and sundry.
Meeting Jack Cassidy on his way down Spencer Street to Paddy Kings Pub.
They've all passed away now..Lord have mercy on them, but isn't it nice to remember 'characters' all the same.
