Can anyone remember if Verdi's Va,pensiero,sull'ali dorate(Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves) was ever performed in town by local musicians or singers.It seems like I heard this when I was really young or perhaps I heard it on Radio Eireann.Its a haunting piece and I seem to remember english words to it.....Speed your journey.....Tempus do you think you might be able to find out for me? I know its a big jump from May Leonards((RIP)God rest your generous soul May )and the cinema.
