Gerrit van Geldrin was the sketch artist and his depictions of wildlife scenes rapidly unfolded on the screen with the camera speeded up. He passed away some years ago. Eamon de Buitléir is still going strong. A very good uileann piper, his first job was with Waltons music shop on Parnell Sq. The Squire himself ( in one of his more enlightened decisions) appointed Eamon to a term san Seanad some years ago.
Remember the Waltons programme on Radio Eireann at 2.00pm on Sat. afternoons. Presented by Leo Maguire - he took us through Bridie Gallagher, The Kilfenora Céilí band etc. and always finished the slot by wishing his listeners a happy week ahead and "remember, if you do sing , sing an Irish song"
Was Daithí Lacha narrated or created by Flan Ó Riain?
