I honestly thought it was Van Geldern's magic pen that created the wonderful wild life sketches.I was fascinated.Daithi Lacha was also a favourite.Was it RTE's first cartoon?
The Walton's was my cue to hurry up and finish the Saturday jobs so I could head off to the Library for the afternoon.
Who can forget "Take the floor " with Din Joe ,also Joe Lynch and the great Micheal O'Hehir on Sundays.The Irish Hospital Sweepstakes Program.I was one of two nurses from Dr Steevens chosen to draw a ticket for this in 1970.Is this draw still going on ?
Finally,running home every day at lunch time to catch part of the Kennedy's of Castle Ross,my first soap opera.I'll admit it,I am now hooked on Bally Kissangel,every Sunday night on PBS.
