and in keeping with the thread this one
may be appropiate.
Back in 1986 when Live Aid was broadcast
great praise was being lavished on Bob Geldof
and all the money that he had collected for
the relief of famine.At a district council
meeting in the Midlands a cllr murphy raised
the issue and proposed that Geldof be nominated
for the Nobel Prize.The chairman of the council
thought this was an excellent idea and recommended
that the council should support the motion.
Sitting to his left was cllr brown who was
totally opposed to the council supporting this foul mouthed ,long haired Dublin jackeen for
such an award and being on the wider side of
thick said as much.
"Theres a lot more people deserving of the
prize thanthat eejit"
The chairman rising to the bait asked him to
name one whick flummocked cllr Brown.
"Theres plenty and you know it chairman"
"Im only asking for one more deserving than
him" says the chair and a clamour of aggreement
could be heard around the table.
Cllr browns colleague realising the quandry
that his fellow cllr had put himself into
murmured under his breath
-the little nun mother threase
cllr brown rising to his feet shouted
"Well I will mr chairman
the little nun herself
MOTHER THREASE FROM KENTUCKY"
