I remember Parsons steps, also steps up to Devers which was a grocery shop at the begining of Ellison St on the same side as Parsons.I remember the biscuit tins in Devers very vividly.Remember when across the street from Parsons was called JB's corner.
In Castle street I recall the Erris Hotel.Christy Hobans grocery shop.The Carney's house with what I thought at the time had a huge "secret garden"The Bourkes and around the corner was Stewarts who had the best soft icecream in a cone.
