Brendan Parsons, on finding himself in this predicament one night in the 60s went to the phone box outside John Heneghan`s chemist, dialled the operator and asked to be put through to his home number. In the few seconds when there was a live connection between the caller and the called just before the operator uttered the words " caller insert a sixpence" Brendan uttered in rapid fire " Eddieopenthedoor" and left down the phone.
