On the Bank of Ireland side of Cavendish Lane there is a house with two sets of steps leading up to the front door. I think Chambers lived there. This house was the Royal Irish Constabulary barracks. I remember hearing that Ernie O'Malley's family once lived across the street from the barracks but I don't know in which house. There might there be a plaque on the house? Ernie was a very prominant republican who took an anti Treaty stand.
