My gt. Grandfather,died from the Great Flu at the age of 65 on St.Patricks Day 1919 in Castlebar. His second son, aged 20, had a similar fate on Nov. 24th. the previous year.
It would be interesting to know the full extent of this epidemic on the population in the west
