married Ned Mc Greal and I seem to recall their
may have been a Denning marriage.You seem to
have an eye for the "cailíní deasa" Murrisk.
Hughie used to keep footballs in the barber shop
and let them out to any kids he knew to play
on the Mall or in Celtic.They were the big leathers that weighed a ton when wet with a large
stitching that would leave a sore welt on many
a gásún.
The early Celtic teams played at the Airport field
before moving to Pavilion Rd and I can remember
huge crowds at big matches there.
The Kilkellys were great supporters of soccer
and still sponsor the Kilkelly Cup.Chas the hero
has a plaque in his honour up at the diving board
whilst Andy Leonard is going strong around town
walking with the good wife.Paddy Gilligan passed
away earlier this year.
Im sure Tempus and Hughie Mac would get on famously as both are/were fond of the close shave.
