Can anyone advise whether or not there was a bakery in C'bar called Goldens? I have vague recollections of delicious fresh bread and a very friendly lady who ran the shop....
Also I seem to recall an ice cream parlour in Castle Street... Stewarts (I think) and of course there was always the penny sweets from May Leonard's (now almost derelict) little shop. All dim and distant memories of an era when we didn't have much but everyone seemed to get by as they struggled through life....actually it is not that long ago, no more than 20 years!!!!
