Yes indeed. Pat Lavelle's saddle shop in Castle St.
polish in the church and incense at Benediction.
Special prompts:- children's confession on a
Saturday morning, top two boxes on front of
St. Joseph's altar; Pat Jordan cleaning and
polishing; Benediction after the rosary on
a Sunday night and on special occasions; Fr.
Fair's homilies with his rapt attention focused
on a point over the choir loft. Fr. Moran was
not a lot different I think. I still have a
photo of Pat Lavelle, working in his shop,
hanging on my wall along with a photo of
a father and son cutting turf at a bank
that looks to have been about 6 feet high.
