I think there is something in the County Development Plan to prevent the siting of groups of houses within 300 metres of any lake in the County - to avoid pollution. This was promised by the Council as part of an integrated package for pollution control. The farmers did their bit but the County Council was also going to control their sewage and septic tank outflows. Has this just been thrown out the window now or do the people who introduced it no longer work for the council and the current crop are not aware that this is in the Development Plan.
