There was a traveling shop which stopped every Friday on the Turlough Rd when I was young.Lavelles/Roaches from Parke,I believe.Mother would send us out to get the score of eggs and a lollypop if we were good.That is if she didnt go out herself.There was so little traffic on the road at the time,we played all sorts of games,ball,tennis right on the road.
