Can only agree with the comments thus far. It is a sad statement on Castlebar "progress".
I have many memories of the place...remember the pristine floor..the hushed reverence..the smell of the floor wax. Too bad it couldn't be saved. The sight of the statue thrown on the grass pretty appalling. It breeaks my heart but appreciate MD's photos.
