The one to the WNW appears to coincide with the old St. Mary's graveyard which lay along the mearing drain. Of course now its developed. I have no idea what the red dot 'shown on the land between the cemetery and the access rd. to Lough Lannagh Village and approx. mid way between the new road' and the lake might be. The old maps do not record any antiquity here, and I don't remember anything of archaeological interest there. The only antiquity site recorded on the old maps on the Newport road side of the lake is at the Black Fort. Part of the symbol can be seen on the map beside the letters 'oods'. The old maps do record two antiquity sites on the Westport road - one at McDonalds and another close to the lake behind the houses at Mount Gordon.
