Well done Butch. The ten bob was worth a fair amount then..just think..if you were allowed spend it all...all the icecreams in Duxies, the sweets in May Leonards, the lollies in Gavins, Julie Heneghans for toys, Wynnes and Nellie Hanleys for comics, Carneys sweet shop nesr thchurch ....and later on the fags in singles...the list goes on....and as for the fun at Perks carnivals....with the car (or bullock!)for the Sunday night raffles..
