Right behind you Aine same side; The residence of Madam Burke , her mysterious son, the piano. I realize that we delved into her cultural past, once before as I recall. I believe Tempus is the Guru on this tale . As Fergal Murphy would enjoin me Tempus, tell us again!. The Carney residence with the fabled 'Secret Garden' , Rosemary Sr. on Violin and 'Lady Feldman Carney' on Bass Cello. In her own residence accessed thro main house via stairs up around and down. The two sisters, Rosemary and Maura? bringing vitality to Castle St. The most talented John Hoban( An Sceil aris please and where's that fada code located?)
Hughie Mac'Gartland Barber shop!. Hughie, bastion of soccer court in Castlebar, in an age when it was considered pollitically incorrect . A particular court following gathered to listen and talk, as well as be sheared. Me, sitting on a board across the 'Barbers Chair' nervously watching Hughie stropping the open razer, as he remarks to my Father, that I have straight legs and will be a good runner. I was. I am?. Kevin Collins musical store duly noted by Aine, Where I rarely missed an opportunity to visit, and peruse the organised chaos of music sheets ,mouth organs, pianos', guitars, and of course the tin whistle .The black one with the white markings . Kevin lived on the right side of the brain, moving slowly, talking quietly, never bothered you to leave...........The side door private entrance, to Parsons residence and shop, and six flights of stairs to the top. Steps down to MacDonnells sweet shop Aine, opposite steps up from the kitchen. Thought there was a butcher shop next to the Erris? .And you flew down Castle St from 'Rock Square' on your bike to ensure enough momentum to make the grade onto Main St.. Though considerable pedal power was required to make the grade the opposite direction. Pedal power of the past will be honoured here verey shortly. So keep your knob tuned to this channel.
