The Mall
The Mall is located at the heart of Castlebar. The Mall was originally Lord Lucan's cricket green and provided a link between his house (now St. Josephs secondary school) and Christ Church diagonally across the mall.
The Mall is surrounded by a number of public buildings - Aras and Contae or Mayo County Council's headquarters, The Library, The Garda Station, and the Courthouse.
Daly's Hotel flanks the eastern side of the Mall. An interesting fountain is located opposite Daly's with a bronze casting of a sculpture collected by Ernie O'Malley.
