"Castlebar Community Games teams win Gold and Silver for Mayo in Connaughts Chess Championships this weekend (Sat 10 April) at Sligo IT. The Under 16 Castlebar team taking silver and the Under 12 team winning gold.

Winning Gold were the Under 12 Team of Captain Jaime Viegas, Ciaran Horkan, Christian Cresham, Daniel Nyland, Killian O'Malley, Stephen Martin, Daniel Plaster all from St. Patricks Boys National School Castlebar. Also in pic: Team Manager Eamon Abberton.
